政府 日本で生まれた外国人の子どもに在留資格付与へ 

先週末の新聞等の報道で、政府が「日本で生まれ育った在留資格のない外国人の子供」に、一定の条件で「在留特別許可」を与えると発表したとのことです。https://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20230804/k10014152351000.html

彼らは学校教育は受けられるが、義務教育扱いではなく、かつ都道府県から移動できないなどの制約があることは、最近のNHKの週末のドラマでも取り上げられていたので、ご存じの方も多いと思います。

私もご近所の外国人のお子さんが日本の学校で勉強を始めても言葉の問題をはじめとして、様々な不便があることを実感しています。そんな中、つい最近、外国人のお子様向けの「夏休みの宿題お助けプロジェクト」なるものが、我が家の近所で企画されていることも知りました。私の知り合いの新横浜、菊名、妙蓮寺、白楽エリアの人にPRしようと思います。

According to newspaper reports over the weekend, Japanese government announced that it would grant “special permission to stay” under certain conditions to “children of foreigners born and raised in Japan who do not have a status of residence.” Although they can receive school education, it is not treated as compulsory education and there are restrictions such as not being able to move from prefectures, as it was featured in a recent NHK weekend drama, so I think many people know.
I also realize that even if the children of foreigners in my neighborhood start studying at a Japanese school, they will face various inconveniences, including language problems. In the midst of this, I recently learned that a “Summer Vacation Homework Help Project” for foreign children is being planned in my neighborhood. I would like to promote it to my acquaintances in the Shin-Yokohama, Kikuna, Myorenji, and Hakuraku areas.
